How To Boost Your Confidence

How To Boost Your Confidence

Everyone needs a good boost of confidence now and then. After all,
feeling good about yourself makes everything in your life better.
Confidence can take you a long way and open up a lot of doors. If you
suffer from chronic low self-esteem, you will benefit from these tips
on how to boost your confidence.

Positive thinking is the first step in boosting your confidence. Your
mind is a very powerful thing. If you tell it something enough times,
it will believe it, so if you constantly engage in negative self-talk,
you can bet your mind will believe it. When you catch yourself putting
yourself down, stop. Switch that negative to a positive and before you
know it, your mind will believe that instead.

Act as if you are confident, even when you don't feel it. This is
another way to fool your mind into believing you have confidence.
Whenever you feel uncertain or shy or nervous, think of someone who
always shines with confidence and act like them. You aren't being
fake or pretending; you're simply in training.

A study has been recently released that reveals how to boost your
confidence in a whole new way: the amino acid tryptophan, found in
many foods such as turkey and milk. According to the report, people
who consumed three grams of tryptophan each day tended to be more
confident than those who didn't. The amino acid affects the brain
chemical serotonin, which helps to regulate moods. So if all else
fails, you may want to consider adding some tryptophan to your diet.
