How to Get on TV at a Football Game

How to Get on TV at a Football Game

For the football fan with a lust for stardom, why
not try combining your love for TV with your love
for the game? Getting on TV is a thrill for any
football or media fan. Here are some suggestions
to get you – and perhaps even your buddies –
noticed and filmed at the football game.

!! Steps !!

* Look for the ideal seating, if relevantSit in a good place.
Try to secure a seat where you know the camera looks or the
journalists are roving nearby. This might take some planning and
watching over several games, so do your homework as to the best
locations.
Make a statement. The clothes you wear will
make a big difference as to whether or not the
journalists and camera operators spot you amid
the crowd. Keep the following in mind when
dressing for attending the football game:

* The brighter, the better. Bright colors stand out and make you
easier to spot. Bonus points if you can also match those colors to
your team.

* The bigger, the better. Big items, such as tall hats, crazy items
sticking out of your clothing, etc., make you more obvious to the
camera operator as they pan across the crowd.

* Wigs are great, especially one that represents the colors of your
team - read How to dye a synthetic wig to learn how to transform
it into your team colors.

* Use paint on your face or body to make
yourself stand out from the crowd. Consider wearing team colors or
painting the team logo across your face. Clever facepaint designs
will always spark interest and attention because they're something
different for the sports journalists to focus on as part of
depicting the whole scene.
Make a clever and creative sign. Come up with
something really witty or funny. Think about
what message you'd like to send out to the
crowd and that will attract attention.

* Use easily read font in a large size and use colors that will
attract attention.

Develop a crazy dance. Come up with a
particular catchy dance that can be used in the
sports ground. Use it when your team scores, or
for break times.

* Dancing in the aisle will make you more visible.

* Wear a big smile at all times. Make it look like you're having an
absolutely fantastic time. Camera pictures sent out to TV audience
are filled with showing how much the crowd is loving it!

* Follow the team mascot and mimic its moves. Crazy you!

* Make lots of noise. Noise can be another
great way to attract attention if you're able to convey the noise
to the journalists or camera operators. Unfortunately, it can also
be away of annoying the other fans seated around you, so only use
this if it's not bothering others and if you're absolutely sure
it'll get you noticed in a good way.
Take off some, or all, of your clothes. Jump on
the field and run from the security guards.
Naturally, you have to be stupidly brave to do
this one and it's usually breaking the law let
alone the rules of good taste, so keep that in
mind before you do it. Have someone ready to
bail you.

* Scream out your team's name as you go.

* Get captured for lifeHave someone at home ready to record your
moment(s) of TV fame. You'll be able to replay it to everyone who
is willing to listen. And if the recording's of good quality, you
might even be lucky enough to get a still shot for framing (be
sure to include some of the crowd in the background).

!! Tips !!

* Take along a buddy who is equally excited to get caught on camera.
With both of you moving and brightening up the stadium space
together, you have twice the chance of being spotted. And more so
if you take along a group of buddies!

* Think of simple things, like standing up when everyone else is
seated, or twirling your jersey around in the air when there's a
lull in activity.

!! Warnings !!

* You will most likely get arrested for running on to the pitch.

!! Things You\'ll Need !!

* Bright clothing and accessories

* Body paint

* Poster board or sheet
